A bird in my window...the eggs hatched.

Well, they are here!! Four of them...I am still having trouble taking pictures, mom is really on the move. You never know when she's going to show. She's there most of the day and all of the night. Let me tell you that it's amazing watching mom feed them. She feeds them at least 4-5 times a day. At night she lays on top of them with her beak in the air...I guess to warn of visitors. I must admit that this is wonderful...watching the mom attend to her babies. Well, I hope the pictures work...until next time.

A bird in my window PART 2

Well, let me tell you. It's been real hard trying to get a photo of mom. She is in the nest everyday and is real sensitive to noise. I have taken pictures through the glass as I don't want to disturb her. There a four eggs now and it's as if see doesn't want to leave the nest. She won't even let dad in, she screams at him when he tries to get in, (we have only seen him once.) I would leave the window open when shes gone and try to get a close up when she returns. I rather not, I don't want her to abandon the nest. Not to worry, I will keep all informed and up-date the pictures. Until next time.....

A bird in my window

You won't believe this..we have been hearing noises early in the morning coming from our master bath. This has been going on for about two months. After one morning that I was actually in the bathroom is when I realized what is was, a bird setting up her nest. She slides by the shutters and makes her way in. When she slides by is when see makes all the noise. I can see her from our side, she turns in circles to make the hole in the middle of the nest. When the window is closed she can't see use. If I try to open the window then she takes off. This is the first time seeing the egg. It appears to be blue. I've decided to start taking pictures of our new found friend. Wish me luck as I am going to try and take a picture of mom too. Let's see if she will stop and pose for the paparazzi...LOL
